Photo frame, Christmas card

Made this Christmas card for E. I used a rubber stamp to print the pattern, used a marker pen to touch up the print, and fixed the silver star to make it look more interesting. The tree shape was drawn using a pen. Not very satisfied with the outcome. Will try something else for other cards.

This was made for I's baby girl. The clay alphabets were bought from store while the flowers and leaves were made and painted by me using paper clay.

Chinese New Year cards

These CNY cards were made by me last year. Have to remind myself to start making Christmas cards soon before CNY arrives!

Gift for a dear friend

I made this mini scrapbook album for a dear friend. Took me about 6 hours to complete it (10pm to 4am!). I'm glad she liked it very much.

Country Style Quilt

Bought this quilt last year while we were in Texas. Later I gave it to my sis as I didn't want to bring back home. I like the details on it. Very nice!

Photo frames

I made these photo frames for my nieces and friends' children some time ago. The top ones were decorated with moulded paper clay alphabets and figurines. The bottom left frame was painted and decorated with stickers while the bottom right one was decorated with mosiac tiles bought from Japan.

Peter Rabbit Blanket

I sewed this Peter Rabbit blanket for E's pet dog, Islay. The fabric was bought in Texas last year. Didn't have time and mood to sew it till now. Peter Rabbit is E's favourite character since her childhood. I hope Islay will enjoy it for the cold winter.

Handmade Cards

When we were living in Texas last year, I bought a set of self-assemble cards by this very talented artist, Sue Dreamer. I love her lively and cute illustrations. Some times I wish I could draw as well as artists like her. Even my siblings can draw much better than me. Nonetheless, it was great fun making those cards for love ones. Here's one.

Lovely Quilting Craft Shop

Saw this shop located within Shaw Centre next to Lido. Was blown away by the lovely fine needle craftmanship. When I first saw them, was very impressed and felt sudden urge to do quilting but knowing myself too well, I don't have patience to do fine needle crafts. So nay, just appreciate and hope to pick up this craft later in my life if God permits... haha...

I love to do crafts!

I'm going to dedicate this blog to become a record for all my creative outputs. Actually I've always love to do crafts since I was in primary school. I remember digging through my art and crafts supplies whenever I'm free to do some simple crafts, like making birthday cards for friends. Somehow from secondary school onwards, I hardly did any crafting due to school homework and pursuing other interests like playing flute in the school band and sports.

Now that I'm a SAHM, I've started to do crafts again. I enjoy making crafts for love ones. Not only do I feel a sense of happiness and achievement when I can make something nice, I feel blessed when my effort is being appreciated by the recipient. I guess it makes my role as SAHM more worthwhile, as compared to my other friends who are working mums.

I'm glad that my DH is also a crafty person like I am. He used to build airplane models and he collects tonnes of unbuilt ones at home. He said that he's going to build all of them when he retires. I'm not so sure whether he really will retire and then start building his airplane models...

This "Welcome" and "God bless our home" signs were done by DH when we were living in Texas last year. He's got such a marvelous handwriting! Rare for medical doctors to have such nice, neat legible handwritings. Since this is the first official entry for my crafting blog, I'm going to dedicate it to my DH.
